„I had an interesting experience during or after brushing my teeth. I have a habit of holding my toothbrush differently, and someone pointed it out, which led us to talk about prejudices towards other cultures. Both of us had played a game of ‚advantage bingo‘ during the preparation for the youth encounter, which aimed to become aware of our own prejudices and reflect on them. This sparked a humorous exchange about our respective insights over the past months. It was incredible to realize the absurd prejudices we had each held! Engaging with them made it easy for us to now share them and laugh together about how foolish we had been for years. However, we must not forget that prejudices are the foundation for all forms of discrimination and, consequently, most crimes and wars… Another reason why it’s essential to talk about them!“
