„During the preparation time, we regularly met online with the other project partners. Almost everyone had used Zoom before, but few knew how to screen share, use breakout rooms, etc. Now, we are definitely experts :)“
„Even though there are 1000 ways to learn languages on the internet, I could never motivate myself to do it… During the preparation phase, I finally pushed myself and took the offer from Erasmus+-online-language lerning. I would say I still don’t speak perfectly, but I am motivated to continue.“
„I am in the website group and had never worked with WordPress before. However, creating a website has always been a skill I wanted to learn. I still don’t feel totally confident in it (which is probably evident in some parts of the website), but I really enjoy tinkering around with it and thinking about how things could work and then searching for solutions to make them function accordingly. One person from Soie Rouge has a lot of experience and is guiding and supporting me and the others in the process. We met a few times during the youth exchange to learn the basics together, but there was too much going on, so we didn’t make much progress. However, we managed to establish the basic structure and divide individual sections. Now, we simply meet online in our small group to move forward. It’s also nice because we get to see each other regularly.“
„I was involved in the organization of the project very early on and had never worked with project planning tools like Slack and Trello before. On the one hand, I found it very enriching to learn new skills, but on the other hand, I still find pads and cloud tools quite practical. Perhaps I just need to get more familiar with them before I fully understand their advantages… or maybe I’m holding onto my familiar ways too much. Who knows.“
„Until now, I had only communicated through WhatsApp and never really thought about it much, as everyone uses it around here. During the youth gathering, we had some discussions about data privacy on the internet (which I never found interesting…), and I realized that especially Germans no longer use WhatsApp but have switched to other messengers. Well,… now I have also started using other messengers to keep in touch with them. I can’t say that I have really changed my behavior on the internet so far, but I do think about it from time to time.“
